Absolute Concept Theory

 Absolute Concept Theory

In philosophy Absolute Theory usually refers to a theory based on concepts such as the concept of space time that exists independently of other concepts and objects, but how do we arrive at a universal concept? This one question drove me to solve this problem and I found my answers in linguistics and the scientific method.

Often times concepts are hard to define and understand and have a root in human language, both verbal and nonverbal. Research has been done to learn how the ability to understand has developed in the human species.

When your a child external stimulus is absorbed using your five senses. This includes human speech in the form of words and gestures. Our brains are able to figure out which sounds are words and where there are breaks between words, general grammatical labels, and we are able to apply them without any real formal training and some how gain comprehension. Noam Chomsky has a theory based on this field of research.

Chomsky's Linguistic Theory says that all languages contain similar structures and rules (a universal grammar) and the fact that children everywhere acquire language the same way, and without much effort seems to indicate that we were born wired with the basics already present in our brains. He has named this bio mechanism in our brains the Language Acquisition Device or LAD and believes this is what allows us to learn language.

Oxford defines language as the principle method of human communication, consisting of words used in a structured and conventional way and conveyed by speech, writing, or gesture as well as a system of communication used by a country or community. This is where words come into play as they define concepts. What if there is not a word or a way to explain something?

This is why I have developed a methodology to discover, define, and validate concepts much like the scientific method. It is called Absolute Concept Theory.

The Importance of Business Planning

Most people do not realize how important a business plan is for anyone starting a new business, already in business, trying to get a loan, and critical for anyone seeking funding from a venture capitalist like those guys on ABC's Shark Tank. The business plan needs to be comprehensive and well thought out. Business plans are standardized and contain sections that include an executive summary, objectives, a mission statement, descriptions of products and services, market planning, management structure, ownership type, customer life cycle, market analysis summary, your marketing strategy, and even your resume.

Individuals could choose to hire a professional to write a business plan for them or they can attempt to write their own making use of business planning software or books that are available on the market. I would recommend reading the book, Your First Business Plan 5th Edition by Joeseph Covello and Brian Hazelgren. I have found this to be an excellent primer on business and business planning. It convers topics such as Return On Investments and Shadow Testing.

A market evaluation is a useful analysis in the planning of a company’s success. It is a big undertaking but is invaluable. To conduct a proper analysis, consideration needs to be given to a range of areas including expected sales figures, marketing goals, advertising content, and the media mix being utilized. Firstly the original marketing goals need to be examined and it has to be ascertained whether the business can quickly and effectively gain enough market share to generate revenue. If this is not possible on paper it will never take off.

An analysis of the competition can be the most difficult section to work on when undertaking the writing of a business plan. Before analyzing the competition they have to be investigated and before that can be done they have to be found. There are many resources online you can use to start. Manta.com happens to be one of my favorite tools. To analyze the competition it is necessary to determine what market or market segments they serve and what benefits they offer. It is necessary to determine why customers buy from them and also to gather information about their products and or services, their pricing and promotion.

With high failure rates for new business, it is obvious that to succeed new businesses need all the help they can get. Proper planning is vital. Do your research.

YouTube Tips For Marketing Your Business Using Videos

YouTube is the one of the largest search engines in the world and is the largest video search engine in. It is also currently owned by Google. Right now, there are millions of videos being viewed everyday and if you don’t tap into YouTube as a source of traffic and marketing medium for your business, you’ll potentially be leaving tons of money on the table.

Let’s look at some YouTube tips for marketing your business. The best way to market your videos is through viral videos. Viral videos are cool, interesting, and valuable videos that make people want to share them with their friends. Thankfully, YouTube allows for easy sharing on social media websites such as Facebook and Twitter, and also allows fans to subscribe to a video channel for the latest updates.

Get a video up onto YouTube and tweak it accordingly. Make sure at the end of your videos there is a call to action so that you can tell your viewers to take the next action such as visit a website or follow you on Facebook or Twitter.

In the description area, always include your link to your website on the first line of the first paragraph. This helps improve SEO and gets a free backlink to your website. It is also the first one of the first things people see when they watch the video.

In your description area and title, make sure you include high search volume keywords so that people can find your content easily. YouTube ranks high in the search engines so by putting your content on YouTube, it makes your stuff much easier to find.

Last but not least, promote your videos to your list of followers. The more people that view your videos, the more eyeballs it will get because YouTube will feature more popular videos in the front of the searches.

15 Reasons To Join Affiliate Programs

There are HUGE benefits to promoting affiliate programs with your own homebased Internet business. Let’s look at 15 of the best reasons to join affiliate programs.

There are HUGE benefits to promoting affiliate programs with your own homebased Internet business and now with COVID people are looking for extra income now more than ever. Affiliate marketing is one of the best viable options you can consider. So let’s take a look at 15 of the best reasons to join affiliate programs.

No Production Costs: The cost to develop and produce a new product is prohibitive for almost anyone who wants to start a home-based business. With affiliate programs, production costs aren't an issue. The product has been developed and proven - all on the merchant's nickel.

Low Cost Set-up: Compared with building a brick and mortar store, starting a home-based Internet business is relatively cheap. You can do this one your mobile device or you on your computer. Most people probably already have a desk, Internet-connected computer, cellphone, tablet, and word-processing software, which is all the equipment you may need to start making easy money from affiliate programs.

No Fees or Licenses: I often compare doing business as an affiliate, with distributing a line of products in the real world. The biggest difference is that the distributor must often pay for a license to distribute products within a limited geographic region. Affiliate programs, on the other hand, are usually free to join, and geographic market reach is limited only by the affiliate's ability to promote his website (affiliate link).

Sell Almost Anything: What isn't sold online? There are thousands and thousands of affiliate programs selling anything you can imagine. That makes it easy to find products related to your current, planned web site, or affiliates website.

No Sales Experience Required: When I started my business, I had absolutely no sales experience. That wasn’t a problem, however. The companies and bands I affiliated with provided excellent marketing material. Using their sales copy, products, and music, I was able to get my first affiliate site up in less than a day.

No Employees: Employee salaries are the biggest business expense. Although you may need or want someone to work for you on occasion, you'll never have to worry about hiring full or part-time employees while working as an affiliate marketer.

When you have a project you want to hire out, it is easy to find specialists in every computer-related field who can work for you from the comfort of THEIR own homes. You pay only for the project, and never have to worry about ongoing employee related benefits and deductions.

No Merchant Accounts: Setting up a merchant account is time-consuming and costly. However, affiliate marketers don’t need merchant accounts. Merchants bear all the costs for payment processing. As an affiliate, you’ll never lose sleep over chargebacks, fraud or losing your merchant account. All you need to get started usually is a PayPal and a checking account.

No Inventory: As an affiliate marketer, you can sell large items without storage concerns, even if you live in a small one-bedroom apartment.

No Order-Processing: Forget the problems associated with collecting and storing names, addresses, credit card numbers, etc. The merchant does all that!

No Shipping: The cost and hassle to prepare and ship products to customers worldwide could be staggering. Affiliates never have to worry about packaging supplies or postal rates.

No Customer Service: Do you hate the prospect of dealing with nasty people or customer complaints? Don't worry about it! The merchant handles them you know what's for you.

Make Money While You Sleep: What other business allows you as a sole proprietor to keep your doors open and keep making money even when you take breaks or after you go home for the night?

Worldwide Marketplace: The Internet is the world's largest marketplace (duh). You can drive more visitors to your online store in a day, than a small-town merchant will see in his or her brick and mortar business in a year. That is more do-able now more than ever.

Minimal Risk: The product you chose isn't making money? Move on. Scrap it! Take down your links and promote another! It's that easy. There are no long-term contracts binding you to products that don't sell.

High Income Potential: If you have a job, your salary or hourly wage is probably pre-determined. Maybe there's not much, other than working overtime, that you can do to increase your income. Maybe there is no room for personal growth, etc. With your own affiliate business on the Internet your income potential is limited only by your desire, effort and imagination.

No other business is so inexpensive to start yet offers such high profit potential without investing years of labor. Affiliate programs enable you to work from Almost Anywhere in the World!

Project Remix Pekin: #remixmovement

Revival: An improvement in the condition or strength of something.

Mix: To combine or join.

Movement: Activities of a group towards a specific goal.

If you pay attention to the critics and the hype America is dead and needs to be revived. Fox News reported September, 6th 2020 1 in 5 American's are unemployed right now. That maybe the closest they have ever gotten to the truth. Something that stuck out to me that same day was from an article in the Peoria Journal Star that read, "We are in an investors market." I've never heard that term before, but immediately thought of the great Gatsby.

Gatsby would of said something like, "We can invest in America by investing in main street, old sport." Even though that statement is entirely fiction, the idea I'm about to share with you isn't. Microloans.

Now... Micro-economics as defined by Oxford dictionary is the part of economics concerned with single factors and the effects of individual decisions. Let me give you and example. "That's $1.08 for the gum Joe." "Here's a five keep the change." "Thanks Joe! I'll get a polar pop on my break with it." "Take care Billy." "You too Joe!"

In my example you see exactly how micro economics works. In fact it's elegant like a ballet. What would happen if all these Wall Street sharks and wolves came right here to Pekin Illinois to Main Street and invested in us? I believe we would change the world, the face of America, and make her great again. We can do this by starting a movement. A revival in entrepreneurialism, local music, and the arts using micro-economic principles, good old fashion know how, some balls, a little education, and each other.

My name is Andrew but my friends call me Andy. I'm a 35 year old broke as hell serial entrepreneur, music producer, artist, creative consultant, neighbor, and most importantly a father. Over the last decade I've learned a lot about my self, and the community I live in through our trials and tribulations we shared together. My home town is on it's last legs, but I believe if we can pull together and use all of our skills as a group we could do some serious renovating. Music producers like my self call this remixing.

When music producers remix a song they usually have some ducks in a row like multi-tracks. Which include the vocals, drums, guitar, and bass. Let's replace each of these elements with a business plan. They are used to present your ideas to banks to ask for funding, keep everyone on track with clear cut goals and expenditures, as well as outline people's jobs, give you analysis of the market and competition, plus define how you communicate to your target market like you guys.

Now I know that sounds complicated but I assure you it's not and I don't mind helping you along the way either. Neither does SCORE, SBA, Bradley University's Turner Center For Entrepreneurship, Private Lenders, City Council, joint venture capitalists, and other private business incubators. Think of me as your guide to Project Remix Pekin.

Pekin Illinois has a population of around 36,000 people of which I know around 10 percent of the younger population and we are extremely talented and driven. I have also noticed there are around two dozen or more scattered empty commercially zoned buildings and suites spreading from downtown here to the bottom of the hill in Creve Coeur and all along court street towards Tremont. They will work beautifully for brick and mortar locations like a future thrift store or a consignment shop. Maybe even a large call center like Hinduja Global Solutions in Peoria could fit in the vacant JC Penny's building.

Lets come together as a community and do some serious brainstorming outside of the government. (Or with) I know we will turn things around. Imagine if we started enough businesses that created 100 jobs and payed an average of $36,000-$50,000  a year to the owners and employees this would inject 3.5-5 million dollars worth of money into the local economy. What would the micro-economic mechanics look like? How would that impact the 36,000 residents?

This is why I'm asking you to help me find the best ideas and people. I am looking for joint venture capitalists, construction workers, lenders, entrepreneurs, evangelists, artists, consultants, economists, journalists, doctors, lawyers, go getters, movers, thinkers, shakers, and doers. I need people who are willing to help produce Project Remix Pekin right now.

The soul goal of this project is to help our small community revitalize it's self and transition from the old manufacturing centered economy to the modern one. I believe if we can manage to do this on a small micro-scopic scale we can use what we learn here as a case study to help other larger communities revive their economies too like Peoria and eventually maybe even places like Chicago and Detroit.

I've worked with some of you in the past and those endeavors yielded amazing results and it has laid the foundation for what I'm proposing here, but this time it transcends music entirely. We are going to utilize all our existing talents, resources, knowledge, energy, wisdom, and team spirit for all of us and make Pekin a place every American dreams about raising children like it was when we were kids. If your with me pick up the phone right now and call 209.509.4120 and leave a message with your name, telephone number, and a description of what you bring to the table. Even volunteering your labor or time will help. Let's make this happen. I got Pekin Pride do you? Let's remix it!

Advertising Possibilities Are Endless For Small Business

Often, the biggest obstacle that most, if not all, small businesses have is a limited budget. Let’s face it. Having a small business makes it difficult for you to have the most glamorous marketing campaign such as that of the big firms and Fortune 500 companies.

And you know for a fact that advertising is truly expensive. If you don’t look out, you might just wake up one day with your funds depleted, and strapped with a marketing campaign that provides lackluster performance.

Knowing you have other things to allocate your funds for, you know that you have to consider all things first before you can shell out your hard earned dollars for your coveted marketing tool. Be it full color flyers, or even a large format poster, you can’t afford to be picky when you’re looking at a very small fund to stretch.

With the funds you’re operating on is just enough to get you a decent marketing campaign for your business, it’s no wonder that many business owners and marketers are turning to other alternative promotional vehicles to introduce their brands. In fact, most marketers and advertisers are looking at ways to get attractive and compelling marketing campaigns for the price they can afford of course.

But this is a common misconception of most business owners and advertisers about advertising that should be changed right away. Although a limited budget may mean limited access to the most expensive ads such as your full color flyer printing campaign or your large format poster printing project, it doesn’t mean that you should settle for a mediocre piece.

On the contrary, having a limited budget means you will be able to come up with a more creative ad campaign that will help you effectively introduce your business to your target market.

And it’s not all print ads actually. Marketing your business can be advantageous in a way because you’re able to hand out to your target clients your message in a nice piece of paper. But as always, you can also try some alternatives that can help you promote your business better.

You might want to try co-sponsoring a worthwhile activity, for example. It may be in promotions, events, trade shows, and exhibits located locally. This way, as a small business, you’ll be recognized as a supporter of your community endeavors. This is actually what most big companies do to market their name and brand. As a potential client looks at the new ads, they will be eager to see that you are a staunch supporter of the local community, and hence, a better choice between you and your competitors.

The key is not therefore be frustrated just because you happen to work on a very limited amount. Small businesses are often very imaginative, especially when it comes to stretching their money and making sure that every penny is put to good use. They may not have the money, but they do have excellent marketing tools that show professionalism and credibility.

The Quick And Easy Way To PPC Advertising

You should be able to find several useful facts about PPC Advertising in the following paragraphs. If there's at least one fact you didn't know before, imagine the difference it might make.

Engaging in pay-per-click (PPC) advertising has its own benefits and drawbacks. But what exactly is PPC advertising and what it can do to your business?

Business nowadays is doing different kinds of austerity measures when it comes to advertising their products and services. This is because of high rates of placing ads on print and on television. But there is a fast growing approach that businessmen can utilize to bring their services closer to the people and that is through Internet Marketing.

One tool that is causing internet marketing popularity is PPC advertising. This is a technique used in search engine marketing that requires one to pay a fee every time someone clicks an ad on your website. Usually this placement is done through a bidding process. If you are a top bidder for your keywords/phrases, you are sure to be on the number one spot on all search engines. Just be sure of the effectiveness of your ad copy to get the most number of clicks you need for your business.

Here are the benefits of PPC advertising are:

1.You need not be a genius in computer and technology to be able to run this ad campaign.
2.Immediate results are seen after a few days.
3.No need to make a website conform to the SEO rules.(but it helps alot because its free)
4.Nothing to lose even if you do not top the pages of different search engines. You can still always choose PPC advertising.
5.You can make use any search engine available.
6.You can type in any keyword you like.

But how exactly PPC advertising can increase traffic, leads and sales?

Think about what you've read so far. Does it reinforce what you already know about PPC Advertising? Or was there something completely new? What about the remaining paragraphs?

PRE-QUALIFIED TRAFFIC. All visitors of your website are already considered as a qualified consumer or buyer of your product. PPC advertising leads your customers to you for a lesser cost.

INSTANT EXPOSURE, IMMEDIATE PROFITS. PPC search engines enable you to get your desired results fast. They will have your website live within just a few hours which means immediate increase in sale.

CONSISTENT TOP LISTINGS. This is to get your website on top of the sponsored search results for free. You just have to choose the keywords related to your site and business and place them within your web pages. After this, you are done.

PPC advertising enables advertisers to control their advertising campaigns. Advertisers have effectively targeted their audience and set their own price per click. PPC advertising networks provide the platform to identify the desired audience by geographic setting, topic and industry. These networks have a list of websites of the publishers where the ads will be placed.

Tools are provided by the networks to check how the pay per click limit is working for a certain advertiser. If its still competitive, would it be even listed among the paid search lists or does it generate sales? Of course, if the advertiser made the highest bid, the better chances the ad will be seen in the search engine. These networks too provide protection for the advertisers against click fraud. This advertising set-up allows advertisers to set a daily budget for his ads, thus, less spending for unnecessary clicks. Advertiser will never go over his budget.

In PPC advertising, what are important are the keywords and phrases. You have to select at least ten "very specific" keywords that would give you the best traffic in the search. Then, write the ad creatively but straightforward. Tell the truth about your product or service and do not lie. Good thing if your product or service will not disappoint those that are relying on your ad's promise - but what if it did otherwise? Important too is the clarity of the ad. Do not use very vague languages. Include important details like the price.

You should also remember to budget your bids. Do not go overbidding because you will only lose your money and do not go so low that your ads will never get the chance to show up. Check your profit against your spending. If you see no progress then most likely you have to drop your ad campaign.

More and more advertisers have been using PPC advertising and it will continue to grow faster than any online advertising techniques.

PPC advertising is sorta new in online marketing and it is going to continue in the years to come. For advertisers, this means increase revenues with fewer advertising expenses, savings, more sales, good return of investment (ROI) and effective ad campaigns in the days to come.

If you've picked some pointers about PPC Advertising that you can put into action, then by all means, do so. You won't really be able to gain any benefits from your new knowledge if you don't use it.

Advertising And Branding Today

Watch any given television long enough, and you’ll be greeted by advertisements. And in today’s ever-competitive market, the real story is behind the scenes, where companies face a constant battle to stay ahead of the competition. And with brand names offering hugely lucrative contracts for the right image, the art of advertising today is massively important.

The actual art of advertising and branding is a lot more sophisticated and in-depth than the consumers they target may realize. Long before an advertisement even reaches the screen, or print, it has been subject to pain-staking research, focus groups, marketing surveys, and many other methods of determining the current state of the target market. Without this information, releasing a product runs the risk of commercial suicide if the consumer isn’t ready. There’s no such thing as luck where advertising a brand, either established or new, is involved. It takes a lot of hard work, grueling hours in meetings and highly skilled teams of creative minds to finalize a concept.

Part of this process, and a way of determining whether a new brand and accompanying advertisement has succeeded or not, is actually one of the simplest. By providing a group of consumers with either an image, a tag line, or even just a combination of colors and sounds, and they recognize the brand behind the advertising, then the hard work has paid off.

This is where the advertising and branding of a product is so important, by firstly ensuring that consumers will recognize a given product or brand. The next important factor is actually persuading consumers to associate certain attributes with your product. These can range from reliability, pricing, value for money, etc. This is one of the most difficult, yet most intrinsically important sources of advertising and branding success. An instance of this is if you mentioned mouthwash – is there a brand that springs to mind immediately? How about favourite destinations to go on vacation – does one resort receive more recommendations than others? Even if that particular resort hasn’t been visited by everyone who mentioned it, just the fact the advertising of that resort makes it sound so enticing that they perceive it’s the destination they should go to, is a sure sign of successful brand advertising.

Yet if successfully advertising a brand is difficult enough to begin with, it can be even more so trying to reach out to new markets with the same product. The stronger the brand and the more successful the initial advertising campaign, the more difficult it becomes to find new avenues. Despite possibly having the number one product on the market, any new advertising still needs to go through the whole process again from scratch. After all, what worked for one product is not guaranteed to work for another.

And this is where the true power of advertising and branding becomes apparent, and is the strongest proof yet that it’s one of the most important in determining whether a company succeeds or fails.

If you need help branding yourself or your company, creating advertisements, and marketing collateral we can help.

5 Simple and Easy Ways to Advertise Online

Most people in business agree that advertising is everything! Regardless of whether you have a product, a service, a hobby website or just want to share pictures of your vacation, you have to advertise it to get traffic to your site, blog, or whatever the case maybe.

Not all traffic is equal. There are services that can help you drive tons and tons of traffic to your site like safelists and traffic exchanges and it won't do you any good at all because it's not targeted.

For example all of the many different 'surf for traffic' or 'traffic clicking' programs that are out there. If you have a website that is about your hobby model airplanes (like my grandpa,) then what good is this traffic really going to do for you? Who's uses these services?

Webmasters and marketers who want traffic on their own site. So they most likely won't spend any more time on your page than is required by the little timer these services use and then they will be gone again. Even if your site is about these traffic services (this is about the only time you will see any benefit from using such a tool) you will still have to spend a ton of time just surfing and clicking around to get a real benefit from these programs. Once marketers realized this they switched gears. They started promoting all the different programs to a lot of other marketers to get them in their down lines, so they could get some traffic as a bonus.

The Bottom-line is... You need targeted traffic. So here are some tips on how you can generate exactly the traffic you need and bring the visitors you want to your website without having to chase after them.

1. Content
What is your site about? Do you just have a page with a lot of links and not much else?

If this is the case, think about adding some content to your website that will be of value to any potential visitors. You can write articles or find articles at one of the many directories that you can reprint on your site.

2. Talk about your experiences in your subject matter.
You don't have to put up some kind of resume (although that can work too), but rather try writing about what you are doing, as it relates to your topic of choice. Let's look at the model airplanes again briefly, you could talk or write about the latest plane type you built, how the last time flying your plane went, what challenges you run into or perhaps even post some pictures of your plane or of you flying it.

3. Forums and bulletin boards.
You could add a forum or bulletin board to your website where your visitors can interact with each other. There are a lot of free services available out there that you can use to either remotely host a forum for you, or even software you can install on your website's server. To find some of these, just head over to your favorite search engine and you will definitely find plenty to choose from. (I love google!)

While you are visiting the search engine, why not run a search for any bulletin boards and forums that are already out there on your chosen topic? You could visit those and interact with the visitors there and since many allow you to post a signature or a profile, you could add a little line about your own site with a link (just check the rules of the forum first so
you don't violate any of them).

4. Start a blog.
Blogs are very popular and search engines love them because they provide constantly new and fresh content. Your blog would be a great place to talk about what you are up to that day. So if you spent some time today buying new parts for your plane you could write about where you found them, how much they cost you, why you chose those parts, anything really goes.

The really great part about this is that you can point links from your blog back to your website, so when the search engine stops by to grab and index your latest content, it will also stop by your website and you will start seeing very targeted traffic heading your way.

5. Write articles.
Writing articles isn't hard and can be a great source of fresh, new traffic to your website. There are a lot of ezines on any topic out there and there are also a lot of directories where you can share your article.

Basically, what you do is write an article and then add a small resource box that links back to your website (just like a signature) and then let other ezine publishers know that you are allowing them to print your article in their ezine. And many publishers go to the article directories to find new content for their newsletter and even their websites. And since there are
websites and ezine newsletters on any imaginable topic out there, you can't lose. Write an article every couple of days and post it in the directories (even one a week or every two weeks will start getting you traffic). Very soon you will find new traffic coming from search engines, newsletters and websites.

Best of all, these 5 simple tips will bring targeted traffic, meaning the visitors are coming to you because they are interested in what you wrote and they are absolutely free!

So there you have it. Whether you have a simple and basic Work at Home Business or a significant Internet Marketing enterprise you can benefit from these 5 easy and simple ways to advertise and drive traffic to your website at absolutely no cost.

3 Foolproof Ways To Outsmart Your Competition

Let's face it...competition is here to stay.  There will always be someone waiting in the wings to take your customers away from you and into their realm.  Yeah, you're always going to have to be on the lookout for new ways to outdo the competition, but there are 3 ways you can minimize the impact they have on your business.

1. Implement Unconventional Marketing Strategies
Standing out from the crowd is sometimes hard to do with so many businesses mimicking the marketing campaigns of their competitors.  Sure, we all want to be successful, and when we see others using a method and prospering there's an urge to jump on the band wagon and enjoy the same success.

Rather than joining the pack, look for ways to advertise that no one else is using. Internet marketing is a good example.  Most Internet marketers use ...you guessed it the Internet to market their products.  Why not get high impact postcards printed and use them to direct people to your Website?  Hey, no one else is doing it!

2. Discover Hidden Markets
Your competitors are missing out on something!  Dig around until you discover what it is, and get a corner on that market niche.  Once you've discovered your secret gold mine, revise your sales copy, and Website to address the specific market you've uncovered.

If you're a Multi Level Marketing representative you might want to consider the following niches.

"    Employees:  The freedom that comes with being your own boss is a dream that many employees hope for, but never experience.  Go ahead...let them know that dreams do come true...there's an opportunity to be their own boss waiting just for them.
"    Stay-at-home Moms:  Most stay at home. Moms are sacrificing finances for the well-being of their children. They would jump at the chance to raise their children and make a little money too.
"    Retirees:  What does the future hold for someone looking at retirement?  It could be that there is a lot of spark, and dreams still pulsing inside...and now...they'll have the time to invest their long time dreams!

3. Become the Expert
We all respect the opinions and insight of someone who really knows a subject inside and out.  Yeah, take the time to research, get to know all of the ins and outs of your product...then emphasize it in your marketing campaign. True knowledge can't be faked. Consumers will know who the expert is.

You don't have to put all of your eggs in one basket to zero in on one product, but you can emphasize your expertise in one area. Remember that people often expect to pay more for expert advice! You may want to raise your price a little bit, get testimonials, and find another expert to endorse you.

You don't have to let the competition get one over on you when you position yourself for success!

Advertising Your Business With Google Adwords

The object to successful advertising is to find a method of conveying your information to as many people as possible, while keeping the cost on the advertising low to begin with. This is the easiest way to generate traffic, and retain your profits. Google Adwords is a great method of getting both of these objectives done and making your site successful. It is very important to try and maintain a low click through cost when trying to target the appropriate customers.

It is no secret that pay per click can really make your business swell with traffic and customers, by placing the highest bid on a keyword, or keywords you can get great page ranking when someone types your keyword into their browser for a search. If you have heard of Google Adwords you will know that it is not really a pay per click search engine, but a very powerful Google tool that can be used as an advertising template. It is said that the largest Internet based network for marketing is indeed Google. It is a global industry and is a very good way to get exposure on the Internet. If you are interested in the Google Adwords you can find it on just about every page that Google showcases, their ad can be found in a little rectangle by the organic search results that are free.

The basic premise of the Google Adwords realm is quite simple, the member makes their own advertisement, and then has to bid on a keyword, this key word will then trigger the next step of the process. The next step is where the appearance of the ad can be showcased, to the viewers online. A members site consists of approximately 25 words or characters, this will include spaces so be mindful, it will also allow for a description segment of up to 70 words or characters, again spaces included in the total so you must watch what you are using as description. The great thing about this feature is your site will be posted within just a few minutes of you submitting it to Google. It could even become one of the sites that are sponsored, where they will sit on the right hand column of the search engine pages.

Google’s Adwords runs a little differently than the standard pay per click programs, it is not entirely based on the bid you place on the keyword. It has other factors penciled into the equation, such as the click through rate, plus the cost per click. This in turn dictates what your page ranking will be in the end of the ratio. You will need a steady flow of traffic to your site prior to this method to be effective, so it is best to get a good game plan in motion.

5 Reasons Why Your Business Must Have an Online Presence Today

The Internet has officially changed the face of business and in case no one has done this for you already, let me be the first to formally welcome you to the “Information Age”, or should we call it the “Internet Age”. So...Welcome to the 21st Century! Things are going to be different.

The Internet is not a fad or a flavor of the week anymore and hasn't been for some time.  It is the real deal and it is here to stay.  It may morph in one way, shape, or form however, it is here to stay and the most successful businesses are taking advantage of it.

So why exactly should you take your business online?  Although there are tons of reasons, here are 5 key ones:

1. It is expected.  Quite simply, the Internet is the first place people look to find out more about you and find services, your business, and/or your product.  They look for your website as well as information they can find out about you from other websites.  Yes, I dare say it, in 99.9% of the cases, it will damage your credibility to some degree with a prospect if you cannot be found out there.

2. It is cheap.  Never in history has a marketing medium been available to all businesses, no matter the size of their company or bank account that afforded them so much possibility for success.

Obviously money if applied properly can increase your results on the Internet; however, you really can get started with little or no money.  Skeptical, just read some of the books from the “Guerrilla Marketing” series by Jay Conrad Levinson (they are awesome by the way, I've read a few.)

3. It is immediate.  Face it.  We live in a world of instant gratification.  We want everything yesterday.  If something is not immediately available, we just may lose interest or worse yet get it from somewhere else – like your competition.

4. It is 24/7.  The Internet simply never sleeps.  Having and implementing an effective Internet strategy can be like having a well tuned marketing and sales force that continues to do your bidding around the clock.

5. It is global.  Why limit your business to the 15 minute radius surrounding your office?  Your current competition certainly isn’t and new competitors are seemingly coming out of nowhere every day. (I have people visiting me from 150 countries world wide and climbing everyday)

Look at the Internet as a means to allow you to share your genius with prospects who otherwise might not have had the opportunity to experience what you have to offer.

So in closing, what’s the best advice I can muster up on this topic?  Make a sincere effort to understand the Internet and the sheer power and opportunity it brings to your business. Create a plan of attack and get in the game. Play on the grandest court available today, the Internet!

Advertising Your Website With Pay-Per-Click

The best way to help optimize your online image is to consider using the pay-per-click advertising. What pay-per-click means is that you purchase sponsored links on the pages of search engine results. Search engines are used every single minute of everyday, which means advertising your website with pay-per-click will greatly increase the advertising of your website and business.

By advertising your website and business with pay-per-click, you are helping to advertise your business in what is usually an inexpensive way that is growing larger and reaching more people everyday. You can also tailor your pay-per-click advertising to fit your business or company budget needs. This is a plus for those of you who are starting out on a budget and want to stay away from paying a lot for advertising that may or may not be seen. By advertising your website with pay-per-click, your ad is going to be seen by your target market. More advantages to advertising your website with pay-per-click include the speed of advertising, the increase in traffic to your website, boosts SEO (Search Engine Optimizations) efforts, and the ability to research and compare data to see what works best for your website.

There are times, however, when advertising your website with pay-per-click can prove to be costly. For example, it will cost you more to use competitive keywords than it will to use ones that are not as competitive. Finely tune your keyword strategies. You can find information on the Internet on this or you might want to consider consulting a professional such as our company Subversion Design Solutions. Also remember not to bite off more than you can chew. Start with one pay-per-click provider first (we recommend Google), using ads you have tested, and then extend your campaign accordingly.

Advertising your website with pay-per-click can be a very quick, inexpensive way to get your website and business rolling. Drawbacks can always pop up, but if you educate and prepare yourself, you will be able to make the most out of advertising your website with pay-per-click.

Using Google Adwords To Promote Your Website or Business

Setting up an account:

To do this you just go here: https://adwords.google.com  Google adwords has provided a very detailed and useful “Sign-up Demo” which is in the form of a video you can use to refer to as you go through the process of signing up.

One of the best things that Google adwords has to offer is the statistical information. This can save you lots of money and help you target your prospects in the most cost effective manner imaginable. BUT, if you don’t understand or use this service you may be throwing you hard earned money away. Now we don’t want to do that because it defeats the purpose. Because there are so many variables involved in using adwords it’s difficult if not impossible to explain exactly how you should run your campaign. The best way is going to be different for everyone reading this, but we can help you to interpret the statistics that you see and then you can “tweak” your ads to get the most out of them for your particular promotion or we can run your campaigns for you. Currently if you sign up to have us run your campaign you will receive $100 in FREE advertising on Google's Adwords. Click here to request a quote or consultation now.

For starters, you should use the “conversion tracking” option.
After you click on “conversion tracking” you’ll need to choose “get Conversion page code”, there you can follow the instructions and choose the one that suits your needs.
The code that Google generates is then pasted into the page described when you choose the option that suits you. To insert this code follow Google’s directions.

Having this code in place will enable Google to provide you with statistics that you can use to assess the effectiveness of a Campaign or ad group.

I recommend having your adwords account running for a day or two before trying to understand this next bit.

For example: (Talking about  Search totals only) if an ad is being shown 1,000 times (Impression) and only has a CTR (click through rate) of 0.20 (displayed as a percentage) it means that your ad is being shown, but the people that see it aren’t clicking on it very often, or they aren’t seeing it. So it could be either because the ad is showing in a poor position (Avg. pos) 213.7 this would be on about page 15 or something, there may be a lot of competition for that word, you would need to raise the bid to try and get it to be seen more often. Or it could be well positioned (Avg.pos) 1.1 but not being clicked on because it is poorly written or not targeted to the keyword people are searching on. Or the key word/s could be too general.

So you would need to improve the wording of the ad, or choose more targeted key words. This is an extremely generalized synopsis.

Conversion Rate:

It is necessary to consider the (Conv. rate) 20% this is the percentage of actual sales/sign-ups resulting from the “Clicks”, So if you find that your ad is receiving a lot of clicks but the conversion rate is low, it may be an indication that your ad is misleading! People click on the ad and go to your landing page expecting to see motor cycles and find chickens there! Or it could mean that your landing page is just poorly constructed, and not conducive to getting the sign up or making the sale.

A rule of thumb to get started is this: Use Google’s “Keyword tool” to select keywords from your landing page this will help ensure the keywords match the landing page. Let’s say you’re selling apples. People searching to buy apples will search for a keyword like “apples for sale” you will have “apples” as one of your keywords for the ad, because you would have “apples” on your landing page. Your ad wording might be something like, “we sell Apples”. So The customer is looking for apples finds an ad that says “go here to buy apples” they land on a page that sells apples, we have a synchronization happening all the way through, and that is cost effective target market tactics.

A Campaign can contain many different ad groups; an ad group can contain many different ads.

Split Testing:

And ads can be split tested. This means running two ads using the same keywords and settings as though they are one ad, but alternating shows of each ad, Google adwords does this part of it for you. After you make the ad that you wish to test, you then let it run for at least a day or two, and then you can assess which ad is better, using Google’s stats such as Clicks – CTR – CPC (cost per click) , and the number of times each ad has been shown, over a given period of time “Served” then discard the looser. Like a competition

Tips to Increase Ranking and Website Traffic

It is worth cataloging the basic principles to be enforced to increase website traffic and search engine rankings.
  • Create a site with valuable content, products or services.
  • Place primary and secondary keywords within the first 25 words in your page content and spread them evenly throughout the document.
  • Research and use the right keywords/phrases to attract your target customers.
  • Use your keywords in the right fields and references within your web page. Like Title, META tags, Headers, etc.
  • Keep your site design simple so that your customers can navigate easily between web pages, find what they want and buy products and services.
  • Submit your web pages i.e. every web page and not just the home page, to the most popular search engines and directory services. Hire someone to do so, if required. Be sure this is a manual submission. Do not engage an automated submission service.
  • Keep track of changes in search engine algorithms and processes and accordingly modify your web pages so your search engine ranking remains high. Use online tools and utilities to keep track of how your website is doing.
  • Monitor your competitors and the top ranked websites to see what they are doing right in the way of design, navigation, content, keywords, etc.
  • Use reports and logs from your web hosting company to see where your traffic is coming from. Analyze your visitor location and their incoming sources whether search engines or links from other sites and the keywords they used to find you.
  • Make your customer visit easy and give them plenty of ways to remember you in the form of newsletters, free reports, reduction coupons etc.
  • Demonstrate your industry and product or service expertise by writing and submitting articles for your website or for article banks so you are perceived as an expert in your field.
  • When selling products online, use simple payment and shipment methods to make your customer’s experience fast and easy.
  • When not sure, hire professionals. Though it may seem costly, but it is a lot less expensive than spending your money on a website which no one visits.
  • Don’t look at your website as a static brochure. Treat it as a dynamic, ever-changing sales tool and location, just like your real store to which your customers with the same seriousness.

5 Important Rules in Website Design

weWhen it comes to your website, extra attention should be paid to every minute detail to make sure it performs optimally to serve its purpose. Here are seven important rules of thumb to observe to make sure your website performs well.

1) Do not use splash pages

Splash pages are the first pages you see when you arrive at a website. They normally have a very beautiful image with words like "welcome" or "click here to enter". In fact, they are just that -- pretty vases with no real purpose. Do not let your visitors have a reason to click on the "back" button! Give them the value of your site up front without the splash page.

2) Do not use excessive banner advertisements

Even the least net savvy people have trained themselves to ignore banner advertisements so you will be wasting valuable website real estate. Instead, provide more valuable content and weave relevant affiliate links into your content, and let your visitors feel that they want to buy instead of being pushed to buy.

3) Have a simple and clear navigation

You have to provide a simple and very straightforward navigation menu so that even a young child will know how to use it. Stay away from complicated Flash based menus or multi-tiered drop down menus. If your visitors don't know how to navigate, they will leave your site.

4) Have a clear indication of where the user is

When visitors are deeply engrossed in browsing your site, you will want to make sure they know which part of the site they are in at that moment. That way, they will be able to browse relevant information or navigate to any section of the site easily. Don't confuse your visitors because confusion means "abandon ship"!

5) Avoid using audio on your site

If your visitor is going to stay a long time at your site, reading your content, you will want to make sure they're not annoyed by some audio looping on and on on your website. If you insist on adding audio, make sure they have some control over it -- volume or muting controls would work fine.

How to run a successful flyer marketing campaign and why is graphic design, marketing, and printing of your flyer important.

As I'm sitting here this morning I started thinking, "I wonder if people know that there is more to flyer design, printing, and marketing than just handing over color flyers to random people on the street?" To be highly effective and ultimately successful with your flyer marketing campaign, you need to take highly planned deliberate actions that increase the chances of responses to your flyers. If you want a little help on how to do this, then read on. I am going to show you some great tricks here in this post that will help you effectively run your flyer marketing campaigns. Your time in flyer design, printing, and marketing should become a little easier and better once you go through all these steps.

1. Base your designs and copy on research – One of the most crucial parts to an effective flyer marketing campaign is the composition of the design and text marketing copy. For those two main elements to become hugely effective at their job, you will want to base their creation from actual market research.
By having some intimate knowledge about your market, the readers and their preferences, you can effectively create the ideal design and content that will make those people respond more readily. That is why you should not be lazy and not do market research. Take the time in getting important data so that your flyer marketing campaign becomes a lot more effective with more powerful designs and marketing copy.

2. Print as many flyers that you can afford – Another important trick to run an effective flyer marketing campaign would be to print as many flyers as you can afford. This may sound simple, but in reality it is one of the best things you can do. Simply put, the more flyers you deploy, the more people you can reach and of course the more successful you can become. So do not be afraid of pushing the set resources for flyer printing to its limit. Believe me, each flyer printed will pay for itself overall. So print as many as you can.

3. Go for key high traffic areas first for deployment – When it comes to deployment, you can be more effective with your color flyers by first going for key high traffic locations. This ensures that your best efforts are driven to distributing those flyers to the most people in one location. So make sure that you deploy first at those large high traffic areas such as bus stations, train stations, community areas, public parks, and even sporting arenas. You’ll have a faster time getting those flyers picked up in those places and then once done, you can deploy the remaining color flyers to other likely locations.

4. Redeploy and repeat if possible – If you still have a lot of custom flyers after your main deployment, it never hurts to redeploy and repeat your efforts if possible. Some readers may actually ignore or totally miss the whole point of your marketing flyers. By repeating the distribution of your custom flyers, you can reinforce what you are saying and hopefully get through to those others who were slow to respond. This works to a great degree actually getting you an extra 5-20% more responses that you would otherwise would have lost.

5. Get feedback, update and improve – Finally, an effective color flyer is a dynamic and adaptable custom flyer. If you want your marketing to continue succeeding for a long time, you should always get feedback from your flyers and then continually update and improve your design and content for every batch of flyer printing. This more dynamic kind of design habit helps you always be competitive with your flyers, giving you the most out of your investment in flyer printing.

Now that is how you run an effective flyer marketing campaign. Do all of the steps detailed above and you will get almost guaranteed results from your effective flyer printing.

How Do I Market My New Business On The Internet?

Marketing on the Internet can be huge task for some people, especially ones who are more used to more traditional methods of marketing and advertising. Doing your marketing on the Internet is generally less expensive than traditional types of marketing. When done correctly will yield great results.
So how do I market my new business on the Internet? Do your research. I know that it seems like that’s always the advice you get. Research, though, is vital to learning what types of marketing best suit your style and pocketbook. So before you start throwing down your money for banner ads, do your homework to find out if this is really the best, most efficient way to market your particular new business.

Planning is also an important part of marketing online and off line. A common mistake Internet marketers make is to jump in with no real plan. You will want to be certain that any marketing plan you develop fits your budget as well.

The best advice is to start small and work up to more expensive marketing techniques. Doing your research, making a budget, and drawing up a marketing plan for your Internet business will ensure that you get off to the right foot.

Some typical ways of marketing on the Internet are:

• Banner ads
• Solo ads
• Ezine ads
• Press releases
• Email
• Promotional offers
• Linking to other sites
• Pay-per-click

There are other methods as well, but these are the most common and useful. All of the above methods are extremely effective ways for you to market your new business on the Internet, but a combination of several of them will bring you the best results. It will be up to you to decide which ones work best for you and how much you can comfortably spend.

Marketing by these methods does require close monitoring and the ability to make adjustments when you see something that isn’t working or isn’t delivering the results you need to grow your business. The great advantage that marketing on the Internet has is that you can track your result easily and respond quickly with any needed changes to your marketing plan.

Perhaps, though, one of the best and most cost-efficient answers to the question how do I market my new business on the Internet is to write articles and post them on website across the Internet. In these articles or at the end, you add your contact information with a link to your site. By providing information people need about topics related to your new Internet business and a link to find your site, you will get a lot of visitors—and more important, lots of sales!

3 Must-Have Strategies to Stay on the Cutting Edge

http
1.  Explore New Advertising Methods
The first sign that you might need to explore new marketing strategies, is a sharp decline in the effectiveness of your advertisement campaign.  Yeah, you shell out a lot of hard earned cash to advertise, and the public turns its nose up!  Don't wait until your profits are plunging to start hunting for new marketing strategies.

Keep searching for the pot of gold.  The whirlwind of change that continuously sweeps through the marketplace offers great opportunity for discovering new advertising mediums. Be on the lookout for one that will set you up for brand new heights of success.

Here's the rule of thumb for advertising:  Keep 80 percent of your advertising budget invested in the "tried and true" methods that bring in a steady flow of profit, and invest 20 percent into the exploration of new ways to get  your message to potential customers.

2.  Be On the Lookout for New Markets
Be alert! Diversification is the key to staying on the cutting edge of an ever-changing marketplace.  You'll be insulating yourself against the effects of these changes by continuously changing as well.  And hey... you never know when a brand new market will translate into millions of dollars in sales!

You don't have to go out on a limb to reach new markets.  There are marketing niches within the market you are currently dealing with.  Think of it like this...your market can be subdivided into several narrowly defined markets.  A Multi-Level Marketing company may notice that many of its prospects are stay-at-home moms and retirees.  Hey a few advertisements directed at the right people...two additional Web pages targeting stay-at-home moms and retirees linked to their home page...and they've effectively customized their markets and are likely to see a 20 percent increase in sales.

3.  Invest In New Products or Services
Have you noticed a continuously progressing slump in the sales and profits of a product or service you currently offer?  It's no sweat if you have other products and services to fill the gap.  Keep a sharp eye out for new products and services that complement what you already have to offer.

A bridal shop owner may have a humming business that sells gowns and veils, but what about tuxedos?  Wouldn't it be easier for the wedding party to get everything in one place?  Tuxedos aren't just for weddings...proms and parties call for bow ties and tails as well.  The potential is expansive.

Yeah, you don't have to be intimidated by clever competition and new technology when you stay on the edge, and make changes with it.  Try these 3 strategies to keep you sales numbers vibrant and climbing!
